Product information:
How much time do we spend on the water?
About 1.5 hours – it also depends on the water level of the Salzach. The higher the water level, the faster we are.
How long does the whole rafting trip take?
4.5 hours – the equipment must fit perfectly and professional instruction is important.
How many miles do we cover?
About 12 km – there is only this one rafting route in the whole area. All providers drive the same track through the Salzachtal.
How big are the rafting boats?
The boats hold up to 8 people plus a good looking Outdo rafting guide.
Can we go rafting on rainy days?
White Water Rafting is great for bad weather days.
Is there a highlight?
There are several highlights on your rafting tour in Austria. If you want to, we can let the rafting boat „capsize“ once, let us drift in the river or jump from a rock into the Salzach. You decide – together with the guide. Our first rule is: Safety-first! The conditions must be right.
Why you should choose Outdo
Outdo can provide all state permits and insurances to qualify for a White-Water Rafting Tour. In addition, we pay good taxes for kindergartens, schools, roads and environmental protection, in short: We are very reputable.
You can expect professional material. Our wetsuits are washed after each rafting and dried before they are returned. We are pretty sure that no one likes to get into a wet wetsuit.
Our rafting tour guides are properly trained and paid so they enjoy what they do. That’s the most important thing in life – enjoy what you do. Our rafting tour guides have over 200 years of experience together. They all combine the love of outdoor sports and the motto: Transform yourself and learn something new about you! That’s what outdo from Zell am See stands for.
We keep our promises and stand for a problem-free organization. We guarantee the best service or you get your money back!

Rafting on the Salzach:
Which difficulty level is the rafting route?
The Salzach offers a perfect tour for beginners and experienced rafters. With high waves and rollers, the powerful breakers and rocks in the rapids and the cozy sections, it has all the route-sections that make a successful rafting trip. White Water class: 3-4 (medium).
Which alternatives are there around Zell am See?
The Salzach is the only river on which rafting is legal.
Which routes are there on the Salzach?
All tour operators use the same rafting route – there are no other entry and exit points.
Where is the entrance to the Salzach?
The entry into the river is near Eschenau, on the Pinzgauer Street, between Taxenbach and Schwarzach.
Where is the end of the route?
The exit is near Schwarzach, on the Salzburgerstreet, towards St. Johann in Pongau.
When are the best conditions?
From May to September are the best conditions for rafting on the Salzach.
Does it need nice weather for rafting?
Whether the sun is shining or not, it doesn’t matter. Rafting is a great activity for a bad weather day. Only thunderstorms can keep us from rafting.
Which condition is required?
The water level of the Salzach is crucial. Flooding can be life-threatening – and, of course, too little is not good for water rafting. It shouldn’t be less than 80 cm or more than 280 cm. Ideal conditions are between 130 cm and 230 cm.

Procedure
It starts with an appointment. We meet and equip you for your rafting adventure with the perfect material for you. Afterwards our shuttle service takes us to the entry point. The shuttle accompanies the river rafting tour by land and picks us up at the exit. After the rafting trip, it takes us back to the headquarters.
Extras included
An extra guide accompanies the boats by land. When he’s around, he can also make himself useful and make wonderful souvenir photos. At several favourable and exciting moments, photos of you on the water are made „in the fight with the waves“. You can have a look at these pictures afterwards and, if you like, you can have the action photos for a small fee. In addition, we take you to a place from which you can jump directly from the rock into the Salzach or just let yourself drift. But only if conditions permit. In the end, there is a drink and a rafting certificate.
Payment
You can easily choose a payment method. We offer EC, credit card or cash.
